Ok so I did some research and here's everything I found about Tommy and team KCAL and information about Tommy's whereabouts and what's happening with the channel. “RWBY: 30Day is a theatrical story that I designed without affecting the main storyline. One day, the Aura of King, the strongest hunter in the northern country, suddenly disappears, making it difficult to resist Grimm attacks. King forms a temporary team called KCAL and searches for the cause. He also requests full assistance from other countries, otherwise, 30 days later, the northern country will be forced into a desperate battle and invade other countries. There is only one clue... red eyes.” This is the description in Lee's trailer which is hard to understand because of the poor translation but here's my take on what he's trying to tell. The 30 day story is one where it doesn't affect the main story of RWBY (Which is pretty neat.) One day, the King of Aura, the strongest hunterman in the northern region of Remnant, suddenly disappears without a trace. Because of his disappearance mass panic spread quickly through the north because of his disappearance and caused mass grimm attacks because of the negative emotions. Another man (I presume) also named King creates team KCAL and searches for the cause of the kings disappearance, King also request help from the other kingdoms in remnant( Or counties i'm unsure about that,) otherwise in 30 days the northern country will be forced into a desperate battle with other invading countries, there is only one clue to find the king that is red eyes. That's all I really understand about the story so far and most likely for a while because of the sad news of tommy. Since most people would assume animations like these take money and time, Tommy has enough time to complete the trailers but sadly doesn’t have enough money to sustain himself in doing so. In the remake of lees trailers he said “The advantage of speaking Cantonese is that very few people know whether I speak well or not. I have enough money to last for an additional 1-2 months, so the end of October is the deadline. Part 2 will take approximately 3-4 months to produce, and if I can sustain my living expenses for 4 months, Part 2 can continue. The difficulty of producing Part 2 is twice as high as Part 1, but it is also twice as exciting.” Because of his lack of money the production had to stop and sadly he isn’t able to work on team KCAL story because of it, however there is a silver lining to this story. Tommys is actually a 3d animation producer. Seeing in his most recent uploads that he worked on a lot of Hong Kong films as a 3d Animator and VFX artist so there may still be hope that this story will end.

its crazy to think that we could've had the show be something like this. Badass dudes and chicks destroying Grimm. we instead we got a show about useless maidens, their pissed off mommy and an immortal wizard that kinda sucks at everything despite being thousands of years old.

TommyLau74 this remake was a true thrill to watch, every detail was breathtaking. I loved every second of this animation. I hope someday we'll all be able to see who K and C are from you're original team KCAL

Okay real talk, compare this to the old Lee animation and holy freaking crap the clear improvement is obvious even to my unskilled eyes. And the graphical upgrades, holy crap. Character design is awesome. Freakin' chainsword/whip/fishing rod/rifle XD
